Santantao Art Resort **** PORTO NOVO

Situated just half a mile from Cidade de Porto Novo and a mile and a half from the Port, this new Hotel has 73 rooms, including 8 Superior rooms and 4 suites all with direct or side sea view, air-conditioning, mini-bar, satellite TV, balcony or terrace and safe. Other services include room service, baby-sitting, laundry and ironing.

Hotel facilities include garden with fresh water swimming pool, restaurant, spacious lobby and bar area with outdoor terrace, a Discotheque and Specialty Cape Verdean Restaurant (both opening in Summer 2008) and a permanent Art Gallery featuring Cape Verdean Artists.

The Hotel offers a limited number of Jeeps, Quad Bikes and Mountain Bikes for rent and will arrange guided excursions and mountain hiking and biking tours. There is a free Shuttle service to the Port of Porto Novo .

Our Opinion
 A new Hotel in an excellent position overlooking the short stretch of sea to São Vicente with dramatic mountains rising to the rear, it offers a welcome addition to the accommodation available on Santo Antao. From here one can visit the green side of the Island for day trips or more, benefit from the in-house organised excursions or simply relax around the attractive pool.

Prices include: economy seats on the direct flights of TACV (the National Airline of Cape Verde) flying from Stansted to Sal Island or Santiago Island, inter-Island flights (if appropriate), all airport taxes, security and fuel surcharges, transfers from Airport to Hotel & return, 6 or 13 nights accommodation as defined at the board stated (7 day or 14 day holiday), Visa fee and Local Representation. A limited number of Comfort Class seats are available on International flights at £146 each way.
