Porto Grande Oásis Atlantico Hotel **** MINDELO

The Hotel Porto Grande is situated 200 meters from the Ocean and just 10 Kms from the Airport overlooking Amilcar Cabral Square in the heart of the colonial City of Mindelo, the "cultural capital of Cabo Verde". This area of the City offers the best selection of restaurants and leisure activities in the Cape Verde region.

The hotel has 48 double rooms and 2 suites, all recently renovated and complete with air-conditioning, mini-bar, en-suite bathroom with hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone, and a safe. There is an a la carte restaurant serving International, Portuguese and Cape Verdean cuisine, a bar with a terrace, a poolside bar, a playground for children, spacious terraces, a barbecue, swimming pool and the Sirius discotheque. The hotel offers currency exchange and car rental services. For sports lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, the area has tennis and volleyball courts, and a gym.

The climate in the region is dry and temperate, with temperatures varying throughout the year between 20ºC and 29ºC and the Island’s conditions are also ideal for windsurfing, fishing and, in particular, scuba diving, due to the rich variety of marine life.

Our Opinion
Whilst it is one of the oldest Hotels in Mindelo, it has been recently completely re-furbished and it’s position allows one to really "feel the pulse of this City". There are loads of Restaurants nearby.

Prices include economy seats on the scheduled flights of TAP Air Portugal from Heathrow (or Gatwick) via Lisbon to Sal Island, inter-Island flights as appropriate, all airport taxes, security and fuel surcharges, transfers from Airport to Hotel and return, and 7 or 14 nights accommodation at  the board stated, Visa fee and Local representation. Club Class seats are available on International flights at a supplement.
