Newly
refurbished and with the welcome addition of a central bar and Restaurant,
the Tropico has 51 rooms and 4 suites, all of which are air conditioned
and have TV and mini-bar. The bathrooms also have a wall in the
traditional stone. The Hotel
surrounds a central sea water swimming pool with views over the sea.
The restaurant also overlooks the pool and the sea and is reputed
to be one of the best restaurants in the City of Praia.
Our Opinion
The
hotel is full of bright colours and the vivid art which is typical of a
Pestana Hotel. A pleasant and spacious place to stay.

Package Prices Winter 2008/9
Prices include economy seats on the scheduled flights of TAP Air
Portugal from Heathrow via Lisbon to Santiagol Island, all airport
taxes, security and fuel surcharges, transfers from Airport to Hotel
and return, and 7 or 14 nights accommodation at the board stated,
Visa fee and Local representation. Departures are on Saturdays in
the evening from Heathrow, arriving in Santiago in the early hours
of Sunday; return flights depart late on Saturday night – actually
very early on Sunday morning, arriving at Heathrow mid morning on
Sunday. Club Class seats are available on International flights at a
supplement.
