Hotel Odios d’Água **** SANTA MARIA, SAL

This small hotel is owned by Cabo Verdians and is furnished in very traditional fashion, small and very different.  There is a beach bar with a small area which is in fact a spa with a massage bed and a manicurist.  The pub ‘Over the Sea’ sometimes features Cabo Verdian musicians as the owner comes from a very musical family.  Above this is the restaurant with sea views on almost three sides.  Rooms are categorised by view.  There is a Dive Centre

Our Opinion
This 50 room small hotel is in a superb position overlooking the beach and is full of artefacts like old ships propellers etc.  It is the only “Boutique” hotel on Sal.  The standard rooms are quite small but nicely furnished.  The small pool, the beach bar, the covered area and the restaurant are first class and in addition there is direct access to the magnificent beach.  Highly recommended but beware, it’s popularity makes late bookings almost impossible!
