Aquisal Apartments *** Santa Maria Village

These are privately owned properties offered for rental and managed by a British run company who provide maid service and laundry and ensure that everything works. Each apartment has a kitchenette, shower room/wc and some have air-conditioning (at extra cost per week) and is built and furnished to European standards. Bed linen is included but towels are not. Maid service and linen change occurs at changeover day and mid-week. Electricity and water supplies are included in the rent.

The figures in brackets show additional capacity sleeping on sofa beds.  

Apartments “Saudade” are in the centre of the Village and consist of a Studio, a 1 bedroom Apartment (2) and a 1 bedroom Penthouse (2) with balcony.  

Apartments “Ancora” have a 1 bedroom apartment and a 2 bedroom apartment with 1 x double and 1 x twin bedded room (2) and are situated on the seafront road some 33 m from the Village centre. Both apartments have balconies with some sea view.  

Apartment “ Beach ” consists of a 2 bedroom apartment (2) with 1 x double and 1 x twin room. Situated on the beach front road about 300 m from the Village centre.

Apartment “Ibiscus” has one I bedroom apartment and is on the sea front road close to the Beach Apartments.

Our Opinion
The apartments are either in the village centre or on the sea front road in Santa Maria . They are not luxurious but offer homely and pleasant accommodation and simple furnishings. Each apartment has simple self-catering facilities. We have based our pricing of these apartments only on the number of actual beds; there is a reduction for those additional party members who sleep on sofa beds – please ask. Ideal for families or groups of friends to enjoy a budget holiday.

Package Prices Winter 2008/9

Prices include economy seats on the scheduled flights of TAP Air Portugal from Heathrow (or Gatwick) via Lisbon to Sal Island, inter-Island flights as appropriate, all airport taxes, security and fuel surcharges, transfers from Airport to Hotel and return, and 7 or 14 nights accommodation at  the board stated, Visa fee and Local representation. Club Class seats are available on International flights at a supplement.
